Cube Making and Curing of Concrete
To properly assess the strength of a concrete cube it must first be carefully cast into moulds that are compliant with the British Standard including tolerances on dimensions, flatness, surface smoothness, perpendicularity and squareness.
All of Hixtra’s cube moulds are regularly calibrated to traceable national standards to ensure your cubes reflect the properties of your concrete as closely as possible.
Our experienced staff ensure the sample is taken correctly and compacted into the moulds in full accordance with the British Standard. Initial cure of the cube specimens is also very important and we can take care of this for you with our temperature controlled test facilities.
